This guitar is one of Karl's favourites, having made frequent appearances from 2015 to this day. It is a Squier JV '57 Stratocaster, from 1983 to 1984, easily recognisable by the very large Stratocaster lettering on the headstock. While today Squier is known as the 'cheap' Fender brand, the early Japanese models such as these were on par with the American-made ones in quality, but more cost effective. In approximately 2017, fake blood (in contrast to his real blood at Sziget 2015) was applied to this guitar, for the Fenster music video. He apparently kept it on for a while, since it also appears in the Sklave music video and at Rock am Ring 2017. For more information about this guitar, vist 21frets.
