This is one of two thinline semi-hollowbody guitars Karl has appeared with, and the one that he plays more often. He was first seen with it in 2015, and the latest appearances in 2018. It has not been out during the Kargo era, with Karl apparently prefering to stick to his vintage Squier guitars. This is a Yamaha SA2200 in Violin Sunburst (SA220VS), a guitar first introduced by Yamaha in 1992. It is a general replica of the classic Gibson ES-347 and a highly valued guitar in its own right. For example, it is wired such that the outer coils of the humbuckers can be knocked out, allowing for combinations of single-coil and humbucking use.
